The Sun

There are several different types of stars. They are grouped according to colour and size.
The Sun is an example of a yellow star - the most common type of star in the universe.
White stars and blue stars are hotter than the Sun whereas red stars are cooler than the Sun.
Giant and supergiant stars are bigger than the Sun whereas dwarf stars are smaller than the Sun.
