GCSE English

Pronouns

Two pronouns that apply to the same thing are I & me. When should you use them, and why?

Most people can tell which of these sentences is correct:

The boy hit I in the eye!
The boy hit me in the eye!

It is, of course, the second one. When you have something done to you you must use me. When you are doing something, use I:

I am going to the club. Instead of: Me am going to the club.
