French Verbs - Summary

GCSE French

Most French verbs are regular. This means the way they are used is the same for each of the three types of ending: -er, -ir and -re.

e.g. The verb manger means "to eat". It is an -er verb.
How do we write "I eat melons" and "We eat melons"?

Je manges des melons.
Nous mangons des melons.

Some very important verbs are irregular. Their endings are very different to the regular verbs and have to be learned carefully.
