Speaking - answers

Fresh air!
"hat einen guten Sinn für Humor"
means has a good sense of humour

Kommst du gut mit ... aus?
Do you get on well with...?

This is the make-or-break question! This is how you should answer it:

Ich kommesehr gut
gut
nicht so gut
mitmeinem Vater
meiner Mutter
meinen Eltern
aus, weil...

I get onvery well
quite well
not very well
withmy father
my mother
my parents
because...

Try hard to not forget aus at the end of the phrase! So many candidates do...

It's even better if you can then say why you get on/don't get on with someone.

e.g. "Ich komme gut mit meiner Schwester aus, weil sie hilfsbereit ist."
(I get on well with my sister because she is helpful.)

REMEMBER: WEIL SENDS THE VERB TO THE END!

The examiners know that you can use weil. They would be so happy if you could use obwohl (although), as well.

e.g. "Ich komme gut mit meinem Vater aus, obwohl er sehr streng ist."
(I get on well with my father although he is strict.)
