Length is normally measured in metres, written m.

Area is measured in square units, such as m², cm² etc.1 m² contains 10,000 cm²!

Volume is measured in cubic units, such as m³, cm³ etc.1 m³ contains 1,000,000 cm³!

The litre is a useful unit for measuring volumes of liquids.1 L = 1 dm³ or 1,000 cm³.

There are 1,000 L in 1 m³.
