AQA Science: Glossary - Evidence

This comprises data which have been subjected to some form of validation. It is possible to give a measure of importance to data which has been validated when coming to an overall judgement.
e.g. Ethna wants to find out the average length of boys' and girls' feet in her class. She has each of them measure the length of their feet and record it in a spreadsheet. She separately measures their feet herself as a check and records her result alongside their own.
