Reflectors

Rotate a 45-90-45° prism so that light enters it through its longest side and two internal reflections occur:

reflection of ray of light through 180 degrees by 45-90-45 prism

In this way the prism will reflect light back to where it came from. Now imagine lots of these triangular prisms being made out of clear red plastic...
