KE & GPE

If we throw a ball in the air, it starts with KE (it's moving).

Since it goes up, it is gaining GPE. However, it will stop moving up - so will then have no KE.

When it starts to fall back to us, it loses GPE. However, this is transferred to its increasing KE.

This is an example of how one form of energy can be changed into another.
