Braking Distance Answer

danger of skidding!

So, what is the braking distance of an 800 kg car travelling at 25 m/s, whose brakes apply a force of 5,000 N?

Answer: F d = ½ m v²
5,000 × d = ½ × 800 × 25²
5,000 × d = 250,000
d = 50 m

If you got that right, you'll be fine in your exam!
