French Regular Verbs

Let's recap: the three sorts of regular verbs all end in -er, -ir and -re.

e.g. jouer (to play), finir (to finish) and vendre (to sell).

When using regular verbs, the ending needed is always the same. Simply drop the -er, -ir, or -re from the infinitive (the verb name - e.g. jouer, finir and vendre are infinitives) and add the correct ending.

The tables below show the correct regular verb endings for these three verbs... but these tables can be adapted for use with all regular verbs!

-er verbs: e.g. jouer (to play)

e.g. "Je jouais du piano mais je ne joue plus." I used to play the piano but I don't play anymore.
