Listening Question Words

In addition to understanding general German vocabulary, you should also make sure you know the meaning of all of the following words invoved in asking questions:

German Word English Meaning
Was? What?

Wer? Who?

Wo? Where?

Warum? Why?

Wie? How?

Wie oft? How often?

Wie viel? How much?

Wie viele? How many?

Was für? What kind of?

Welcher/e/es? Which?
