GCSE English

Verbs and Nouns

When the word is used as a noun, we've coloured it red, as a verb green:
  1. Lizi wound the bandage around the wound.
  2. The farm was used to produce produce.
  3. The Oxford rowers had a row about how to row.

What is vitally important here is the pronunciation! In each sentence above, the paired words are spoken differently.

e.g. The Oxford rowers had a row (rhymes with cow) about how to row (rhymes with snow).
